“You can stop believing bluegrass is the music of a bygone era right now.”
- Emma Finnerty, digboston
“Three cool dudes.” - Mamma’s Marmalade
“[Pretty Saro mixes] elements of folk, country and Americana into its rootsy brand of bluegrass”
- Chip Mccabe, Hartford Courant
Pretty Saro has been cruising around New England, lighting up venues and festival stages up and down the East coast. Devon Gardner (Fiddle), Alex Formento (Guitar) and Joe Everett (Bass) have been crafting their own sound out of the old time and bluegrass music that first brought them together back in early 2016. Named after an English folk ballad, the group’s synergy and improvisational performances have been drawing in listeners and earning them a reputation among Boston’s bluegrass scene.
The band has appeared on the stages of Grey Fox, Ossipee Valley Music Festival, Freshgrass, Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, and many more. They continue to play all around the New England area at places like Club Passim, The Burren, Zenbarn, and other lovely venues as well.
